WOW

Today, I have a looooootttttt to talk about. To answer Emma's comment, at the museum, I saw about a 1,000 paintings( including one of Publo Picasso's!). Then a hundred sculptures, A few 10 metre high figures carved out of wood, and a dug up mumie! It was the body of this Egyptian prophetess.
New year was great! We went to the cousins house, and had sausages, lamb, potato puffs, chocolate Charlotte, ice cream and, chocolate crackle cups! Talk about a feast! There was the friend of Lilian there, I we had pillow fights in the dark!
But today, wow, school started!!!
I'm in class cm 2 (and no, it's not only 2 cm big ). We got there at quarter past 8. We met he head mistress, my teacher, then the Monday teacher. She showed me to my seat. Then found a girl to take me round. Her name is Gabriella. She showed me her friends, Lisa, and Noami but we call her Nono! And if you look at he followers list, you will find that there is a follower with a Japanese name, she is the original Nono! The bell then rang, and we piled in to the class. The guy next to me, I think is spelt like this: Thibou? (Ti-bo) He is nearly fluent in English, and explained the literature and geometry we did that morning( We had a 15 mintue break in the middle). After that, I went home for a 2 hour (!) lunch break. Tomorrow, I'm starting at the canteen, Thibou says the stuff is yuck. After that we had geography, which was about the highways of france. We then had a 15 minute break, then PE; high and long jump. I usually hate high jump; but this was fun for 3 reasons. 1- the bar was a skipping rope,2- it was low3- you did whatever you wanted over it! Of course I decided to go for a flip which then resulted in a belly flop...
It worked really well!
Tomorrow is English, so that should be fun...
Zali!

  1. Rose What a good start you have made to school! Two hours for lunch sounds like a good idea. You are fortunate to have a mate like Thibou to help you. Sounds like you need to work on your high jump technique! You will do well at English though. Cheers, Bob.

  2. Hi Rose so pleased you sound okay about school- it will be a breeze for a clever little soul like you. Today we go to look after Loz and Lou as all go back to work except Bridie who starts at her first job next week. We are having fun - bit too much rain - Queensland is half submerged in flood waters but not in Brissie. Lots of love and keep having fun - Lizxx

  3. Gee Zali - what kind of parents do you have that would send you to a school where the food is yuck and they use a skipping rope for high jump?! Love, R.

  4. Hi Rose - great to hear about your school. How was the food at the canteen? Do they do chips, hot pies and filled rolls or is it a bit classier than that? Looking forward to seeing some photos of your house - is there still snow everywhere? Loving the posts, Jane, Louis and Lauren xx
