Before we go to Venice, I have one more major event to tell you about.
First, on Saturday, when we went to the local market, mum left the stove with the chicken stock on. We were gone for half an hour before she realized, and then told us we had to leave right now before it over flowed, put out the flame, and filled the house with gas!
It was fine, but mum really got us worried...
Now on to the pricey story.
I had just come back from school, and I was going to make myself some re-heated soup. Mum had gone to check the mail, and so I put a PLASTIC AND METAL LID in the microwave!
For all of those who do not know this, plastic melts and contaminates your food, and metal mucks up the waves, and can make the hole thing EXPLODE!!!
Happily this didn't happen, but later that evening, we had a power cut.
This was slightly creepy, seeing we had only one cell phone, that had nearly run out of money, 2 computers that had no internet, and a Nintendo DS to work with.It was minus three outside, and we only had candles. So after some searching, we phoned my aunt, who suggested we phone this electrician dude, who then came and fixed everything. The microwave had then killed the oven and stove, but once we removed the microwave, we were sweet. The only thing is it could cost us up too $2,000 !
You can probably tell how well that went down with mum...
Oh well,OMG!( man I hate using that word, I sound so trashy!)
Right this minute(6 pm 28/01) mum has just been informed that Camille is stuck, with the kid she is supposed to be babysitting, with no key to the woman's house!Dad and the woman are both at a work conference, and she has been on her own for 2 hours! I'll get back to you tomorrow to tell you how it works out!
See ya, wish me luck!

Hey, Rosalina - tell them about your marks today!? ...
ReplyDeleteRosalina - Rosie - Zali, Whatever. I guess you will be left behind when the others head for Venice - would save a bit of money to help pay the electric dude! Microwaves are very cheap at Briscoes this week! Next time we Skype how about a French poem recitation! How did things go with Camille? And what about today's marks? Bob
