Hey guys! Thanks for all of your posts, I have never had so many!( I also figured out how to spell it, it's Tibault)
Sadly, day 2 wasn't quite so good. We had my real teacher, who is a bit scary as she is almost always yelling at someone! At the start, kids had to go to the front of the class, and recite these poem things, while the others wrote and memorized them. I have to learn three in a few days, aaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!
After that, was horrible math. The multiplication was fine; but once again the division baffled me, and to make it worse, the teacher called me to the front of the class to answer a problem that was in the thousands! I obviously had no idea of what she was talking about, seeing that we had never gone any higher than 100 ( and even then I had issues) in nz!
I got a bit upset about that, because of course a drama queen like me likes to make everything the end of the world; but then one of the canteen ladies, was nice and gave me a hug, and said if I ever had any problems, to come see her! This canteen lady bares a very strong resemblance to one of the coolest aunties on earth, who just so happens to be my auntie, Bridget! This is because she is kind and funny, and will always help! (If any of you ever see her, please tell her that)
I had lunch with my friends: Gabrielle, Julie, Malia, Laren and Melanie.(Tibault, Nono and Lisa were away) We had yogurt, hazelnut and quinoa salad. Then beef and carrot. Then yogurt. (It was all organic) It was not at all bad, so Tibault must have interesting taste buds... After lunch we had English! The teacher was nice, and I got to ask kids questions, and they got to ask me some as well! They were just simple things like what's your favorite book and stuff like that. We then did this worksheet on where is the pen?" The pen is next to the pencil" blah, blah, blah! Then history, none of which I understood... The homework is hard, but with mum's help, I'm getting somewhere. Dad and Cam are sick, and Cam has been up all night puking...Let's hope she gets better soon.
Zali!
Zalie - Too bad about the grumpy teacher - but sounds like you have a good friend in the canteen lady. She must be a Bridget clone! As for long didvision - that's why we have calculators. What a healthy lunch you had - no donuts or sausage rolls! Do hope Dad and Cam are on the mend. Love Liz'n Bob

ReplyDeleteFrance sounds awesome! Hope you're having a great time, and I hope your teacher gets better! You'll get a lot better at your schoolwork once you can speak fluent French, which I'm sure won't take long. Your lunch sounds awesome as well, I wish our canteen was like that.
Hope Rich and Cam get better,
