Second, good luck to Japan!
And lastly(but not the least important)I am dedicating this post to Dredgiemite, in honor of her 12th birthday!
We did soooooooo much in Avignon and orange that I may need to put it in list form; but here are the basics.
We were staying in this cute little hotel in Orange(!), where they gave us crepes each morning with whatever they had that we wanted in them! This included: eggs, cheese and ham; nutella; salted caramel; lemon-the list goes on! They also had normal and salted butter; jam and nutella for the little pre-cut rolls which they had( pre-cut it so helpful, I always rip off half of it when I do it myself), croissants, cereal, juice, coffee, yoghurts and more - all that they missed was bacon and chipolatas, but I'm not complaining!
While we were there we...
Important bridge of Avignon
the popes palace
the theatre
the theatre statue
- Went to various restaurants, some of the highlight meals were: Cheesy creamy ravioli; potato cakes; yummy steak'n'chips; lamb chops; garlic fried octopi(dad thought they were giant tarantulas at first); spaghetti and heaps more!
- We went to the ancient theatre, they had these cool little talky things which would inform you about what you were seeing
- Went to "the popes palace", which was really cool, it had massive rooms, but due to fires and age, all of the paint and tiles were destroyed, so it wasn't quite as grand as it was back then...
- We saw multiple important bridges!
- We just explored the little villages and markets.
- We had a nice pick-nick with cookies and shrimp!
Until something interesting happens
(not that I need anything more...)

ReplyDeleteYou had to cross a river!? Good thing for us that there was an end, or we would have fallen a very long way down!
