Hi everyone!
I have yet another country to put on my list; Spain! We went to Barcelona for the holidays, it was amazing!
On the way there, we stopped off at a city called Nimes, it has one of the most well preserved ancient temples in the world!
 |
| " The square house" |
For lunch, I had steak with yummy cream potatoes(gratin); and the others had a bull casserole with pasta! Then for dessert, we had strawberry soup!
We spent the night in Arles, in a cute bed 'n' breakfast! For that dinner, I had lasagna, and tiramisu!
| | | | | | | In Barcelona, we were staying in an apartment. We took this bus route which could take us around all of the city, and on the second day, we went to see the most awesome church I have ever seen!It looked as if it was covered in melting candles; but the queue was so long that we couldn't get inside...We had heaps of tapas, little dishes of just about anything, our favorite's were this sausage called chorizo, patatas bravas; these crispy potatos cover in a garlic sauce, grilled octopi, and many more! I often had paella, and we often went back to our favorite small cafe, with great patatas bravas! We went to a rather boring modern art gallery, and lived round a not so boring university of music. It was covered in moziacs, and all of the pillars were made of green glass. We went to an awesome park with more moziacs, but half of it was built off a hill with pillars, and there was a stream floating around the sandy bit in a small dip on the walls, which were also seats. There were many people in strange costumes, who would almost busk; you give $5, you get a photo... On the last day, we had churros( strips of deep fried pastry) with melted chocolate; I couldn't finish it!After Barcelona, we went to Carcassone; a walled in city inside a huge castle; it even had a moat! We went round the museum; and had a nice cassoulet; which is a super flashy backed beans with sausage and meat!Until the next exiting thing happens, see ya. Zali |
