Paris and Mountaines.

Hi guys.
Happily for me, I managed to skip a weeks worth of school by being in Paris and then near Mt.blonc!

We got to Paris in first class TGV, very quiet, and the seats could go back and forward!
We stayed at this little hotel, not at all shabby, and by Parisienne standards, quite cheap!
Omnom time!
Breakfast was nice, the usual with pancakes!

"the victory of Samothrace"

We went to "Le Louvre", probably the most famous museum in the world! It had Roman, Egyptian and Greek artifacts, including massive mummies. Then hundreds of famous paintings, including the Mona Lisa, heaps of statues, and a few rooms of kings chambers with massive chandeliers.
"La victoire de Samothrace" was my dad's favourite part, it was situated on the top of the stairs, looking down on you. She originally had a head, arms and a trumpet, but due to time, they fell off.
The entrance of Le louvre
yet another famous sculpture!

We also went (and died) to the palace of Versailles. The most touristic place on earth!
We queued for hours, and when we finally got in, we were all squished up. But the gardens were quite pretty. That day, i walked 25000 steps! I died...

Sadly, any weight I had lost was instantly put back on when I ate a St.Honore!
A cake made of choux pastry with caramel, and cream, but don't worry, i shared!
After that, we went to visit one of our friends, and the next day, we went to a very good,
very french restaurant.
I can't remember what the others had, but i had veal with mushrooms, and potatoe.
The only problem was it was on the kids menu, and i hate being treated like a baby.
Dessert was fondue, with cream, not as if i needed it...
my meal!

St honore, attack!
After Paris, 1 day of school, then we went to le carroz! We were in the same challet as last time (see the mountaineer). But this time, no snow! It was really strange, there were so many flowers where there should have been snow, me and dad prefer it winter style. We were with all the whanau, so not the easiest place to be. Happily i got to share my room with Cam. We did plenty of walking, and visited Switzerland for a few hours. Camille fell in love with their mustard, and is quickly polishing the last tube which she bought back...

Only 8 more days of school, WAHOO!!!

Until then

Zali
